Los premios Oscar, a entregarse el próximo 27 de marzo, traen muy buenas noticias para los mexicanos, pues tanto el cineasta Guillermo del Toro como el actor, director y productor Eugenio Derbez, han sido nominados.
Del Toro, quien ganara la estatuilla como mejor director en 2017 por ‘La forma del agua’ (también fue la mejor película), ahora podría ser el triunfador en la misma categoría gracias a El callejón de las almas perdidas y en otros tres rubros.
Por su parte, esta es la primera nominación en la carrera de Derbez, quien luego de cosechar muchos éxitos en comedias en la televisión mexicana, de forma tardía se aventuró a conquistar el cine estadounidense y otros géneros más allá de la comedia.
En realidad Derbez no está nominado, pero sí la película que protagoniza, ‘Coda’, que podría llevarse los premios a mejor guión adaptado, mejor actor de reparto y mejor película.
Esta fue la reacción de Eugenio al enterarse de las nominaciones de Coda.
