El huracán Dorian finalmente ha reducido su furia y ahora es categoría 2 a punto de tocar la Florida, en Estados Unidos.
Llegó a ser categoría 5 y se convirtió en el más fuerte que golpea el archipiélago de las Bahamas desde que se tienen registros.
En las Bahamas, donde se mantuvo estacionado varios días, dejó un saldo de al menos siete muertos, millonarias pérdidas materiales y unas 60 mil personas con necesidad de ayuda humanitaria, es decir, muchas personas lo perdieron todo.
Se estima que unas 13 mil casas quedaron dañadas o fueron destruidas.

De acuerdo al Centro Nacional de Huracanes (NHC), con sede en Miami, al tocar Dorian tierra firme, se convirtió en el huracán más potente del Atlántico desde 1935.
